Product Description
The crosslinked polyethylene insulated cable adopts the peroxide crosslinking method, which makes the polyethylene molecule change from linear molecular structure to three-dimensional network structure, from thermoplastic material to thermosetting material, and the working temperature increases from 70 ℃ to 90 ℃, significantly enhanced current carrying capacity of cables. XLPE insulated cable has the following advantages:
1. Heat resistance: XLPE with a reticulated three-dimensional structure has excellent heat resistance. It will not decompose and carbonize under 300 ℃, its long-term working temperature can reach 90 ℃, and its thermal life can be 40 years.
2. Insulation performance:XLPE maintains the original excellent insulation characteristics of PE and further enhances its insulation resistance. Moreover, its dielectric loss tangent value is very low and will not be affected by temperature changes.
3. Mechanical properties: By forming new chemical bonds between macromolecules, the hardness, wear resistance, and impact resistance of cross-linked polyethylene have been significantly improved, effectively compensating for the shortcomings of polyethylene that is prone to cracking under environmental stress.
4. Chemical resistance: Crosslinked polyethylene has excellent acid oil resistance and alkali resistance. Its combustion products are mainly carbon dioxidea and water , which pose little harm to the environment and meet modern fire safety standards.
